As photographers usually do, they get a bit bored with their own surroundings. And traveling is a great way to break this.
After the Covid-19 lockdown, I traveled to Eastern Europe. While researching the destination, I stumbled upon 'panelak' houses. Clean colors and details of objects and buildings, the simplicity of the plastered, “prefab” panelak buildings were a perfect subject for a book. Coming from a country where bricks are the most prominent construction method, which creates a cacophony of chaos with no sense of unity, the panel houses are a wonderful example of structure and uniformity.
This project made me think about releasing a Panelaky Book. These images are mockups, hopefully in the future there will be a actual book.
