MAVICAZINE

STORY -

Mavicazine is an act of appreciation towards all FLOPPY DISK SONY MAVICA cameras. In particular the MVC-FD7. A friend and I started this project back in 2019 and gave our passion for photography an extra boost. Early-digital photography is quite frowned upon these days, with MAVICAZINE we tend to change that perspective and show our viewers that low resolution digital photography can be quite mesmerising.

WORK -

Here you can see some example images of our work for MAVICAZINE. The glitches in some of these photos are caused by a claw hammer. Using an analog object to damage the floppy disk reader several times during the read process creates a corrupt file resulting in a glitch effect. Influencing the digital images in a analog way creates a certain unpredictability. Enjoy.
